NOTES: Bird was unseen most of this time but apparently 15-20 m away and 2-3 m up but moving around in dense growth of understory along riparian corridor through terra firme forest along back loop of Trilha das Rochas behind Saleiro [09¡ 36Õ 05.4Ó S, 55¡ 56Õ 11.8Ó W, 245 m]; I did see the bird between the second and third parts of this cut and, when seen, it did not have its crest erected but what I could see of the crest appeared more orange than red, suggesting a female; the bird was moving around quite a bit but calling only infrequently [= RCR087-091; GPS coordinates in file #RCR100].
