    Equipment Note

NOTES: Unseen bird was one of what appeared to be two that were calling from 15-20 m away in canopy of a large (50+ m tall) tree adjacent to tower; bird was above my level (30 m up) and may have been reacting to some whistling that I had done to provoke its calling, but there was no playback; conditions same [mostly clear but hazy and with high thin clouds, calm, 72¡ F] [= RCR031; GPS coordinates in file #RCR043].

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
