NOTES: Three birds (two males and a female) well seen, with a pair perched about 60 m away and 10 m up in top of a Cecropia tree and a second male in a deciduous tree above them, all amid deciduous forest at top of Serra; flutter was emitted by wings as males flew; blue sky overhead but quite hazy at the level of the Serra, humid, calm, 78¡F [= RCR003 & RCR007, the latter with GPS coordinates].

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
