NOTES: Juvenile bird was well seen perched 40-50 m away and 40-45 m up on large branch about 4-5 m above nest in very large tree amid a roughly 250 ha fragment of terra firme forest along trail behind hotel; my understanding is that the bird had been flying for about a month at this point; I was also told that an adult was seen briefly (for about 10 seconds) about 10 minutes before I arrived this morning, but it was said not to have made a food-pass, so these are likely begging calls by the young bird, which apparently jumped up from the nest upon the arrival of the adult; then, following the second call in file #FAH228, the bird apparently dropped back down onto the nest, after which, the sound was not nearly as good; the bird spread its wings slightly each time it called; high thin clouds and somewhat smoky, 85-86¡ F; this recording combines seven files (#FAH224-230); the last of these files contained GPS coordinates taken almost right under the nest [09¡ 52Õ 46.3Ó S, 56¡ 06Õ 00.9Ó W, ca. 280 m]. Other Behaviors: Beg. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
