NOTES: Two birds, one seen briefly when it Òpopped upÓ about 1 m up, about 10-15 m away in moderately dense undergrowth about 150 m into forest from road; this was recorded after Òspishing,Ó imitations of the calls, and some playback of a prerecorded tape from Alta Floresta project; these birds never gave the song and they never came in all that close; one of the chatters in the initial part of the recording was overloaded [= CAR183-185, CAR187].
