NOTES: Recorded just before the summit of the Aguas Claras Road, near where I had earlier recorded Columba subvinacea (in cuts #CAR05-72 & 73); these songs appeared to have been given by a male that was seen moving back-and-forth on a branch, initially 30 m away and 25 m up, later 40 m away and 25-30 m up, in canopy of tree along road through tall, terra firme forest; I think I saw the bill open while these songs were given, but I am sure that I saw the wings quiver while this song was emitted; two birds were seen and normal calls, song, and ÒchurkÓ calls were heard; almost completely clear (a few high clouds overhead), intermittent mild breeze, 83¡ F [= CAR167-169].
