NOTES: Adult male was well seen perched in various trees within a scrubby campina (with some white sand); it never called but I did get a few examples of the loud fluttering sound produced by the wings; the fluttering sound in file #CAR05-82 was produced when the bird flew from a shaded branch in the lower part of a large tree (about 6 m up) up to the top of the same tree (about 12-15 m up); it was about 20 m away both times; file #CAR05-82a includes the fluttering sounds made when the bird flew off several minutes later, beginning about 30 m away at top of same tree where it was in previous recording (I moved my position to reduce the wind noise); quite cloudy, consistent breeze from the north, and maybe as hot at 90¡F (though thermometer may have been cooked because it did not seem this hot); some wind noise on microphone; combine last minute of #CAR148 with CAR151-152; GPS coordinates in file #CAR154.
