NOTES: Bird was seen about eye level and initially 18-20 m away, later possibly as much as 50 m after it flew across the road when a truck passed by; perched 1 and 2 1/2 m up in small shrubs within canga; seen moderately well from the back and described briefly in voice announcement; bird moved about a little following later playback but response was minimal and bird did not call much; recorded just after sunset; partly cloudy, calm, 85¡ F [= CAR019-020].
