"the following calls were identified in the study: A1 roar or howl; A1.1 roar terminus or endstrope; A2 incipient roar; A2.1 pure "aw", A2.2 rough "aw", A2.3 Popped "aw", A2.4 Popping; A3 high roar coda; B1 roar accompaniment; C1 male woof or bark; C2 incipient male woof or bark; D1 female woof or bark; D2 incipient female woof or bark; E oodle; F eh; G1 whimper; G2 male emphatic whimper; G3 high chirping whimper; (H grunt, not heard); I heh or cacle-laugh; J caw; K wrah-ha; L Yelp or screech; M infant sueak and bark; N hiccup.
