NOTES: From recordist's data sheet: "Tursiops gilli (Dall), Ref: Anthony. Pacific Bottlenosed Dolphin. The captive, trained animal is at the Oceanarium operated by Sea Life, Inc., on Oahu. It has been trained to push its body out of the water at the edge of its tank, partly beaching itself, while it begs for food. Miss Samson held the mike in one hand and a fish in the other. Animal named 'Vella.' Sounds like a baby crying. High frequency with considerable volume. Sound is made below the blowhole. Porpoise has no vocal chords. No parabola used. Level of recording +3dB."Anthony TEMPAIR: 29 TEMPWATER: 27
