NOTES: Notes from data sheet: "Playback not attempted. As I had had no opportunity to record wild Hawaiian seals at Laysan Island where they are found in fairly large numbers, I took advantage of the opportunity to tape this captive at Sea Life Park. I simply walked up to the animal with microphone in hand, and he gave his warnings. Weather: warm." Apparent biological purpose of sound: warning. Behavior: raising head. When not vocalizing, animal dozed. Leeward islands of the Hawaiian chain. Magnemite 610-E 7050. SEAOCEAN TEMPAIR: 25.
