NOTES: LNS notes: Voice announcement indicated that recordist not sure if sound is from a California sea lion, Zalophus californianus, or a Northern elephant seal, Mirounga angustirostris. MLNS archivist decided that California sea lion was the dominant species in the cut. Confidence interval assigned by MLNS. 10Nov2004MLM. DAT case notes: "2002 TMMC #1; 0-21; 13 March 02". Voice announcements: "...on Wednesday the 13th of March, 2001. I am at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausolito, California... The temperature is approximately 60degrees Farenheit, with 5-10 mph winds. It's dusk. There's a clear sky. Again, we're in a captive rehab. facility surrounded by concrete fences and pools. I'm recording with an Audio Technica 835B, shotgun microphone with an unbalanced cable, no shock mount, and a SONY TCD D-8 Dat recorder with 120 minute tapes recording at a sampling rate of 48kHz. My recording level is currently set to 7, on manual recording mode at high mic sensitivity."
