NOTES: Note from recording log: "2+? humpbacks; Photographs: SNM-3(3-13); Weather: sunny, calm; Sea State and Noise: calm; Recorder: Sony; Hydrophone LC54; Gain: 3.5. 3 tapes. Interval between 1&2 was 6 sec. then stopped recording for a few minutes and attempted to drift towards animal then started 3rd tape."
Voice notes from recording: "There's a blow, 1 mile out on the port quarter stern (04:48). Blow, about 195 degrees off the port stern quarter, one mile (07:11). Blow, about 25 degrees off the port bow, about 2 miles (08:28). Just had a large shark surface next to the boat... about a ten-footer (13:25). Animal just came up 180 degrees behind the boat, and rolled and also threw his flukes, 1/4 mile (33:21). Blow about a half mile from the starboard beam (35:35).
