NOTES: "Vocalizations from what appears to be a small breeding population of Yellow Rails. Birds were vocalizing from wet grassy area with grass no more than about 8-10 inches high... The area was surrounded by juniper woodland and open sagebrush. The recording was made on BLM land about 3 miles south of the Oregon state line..."

[These "Clicks" were apparently given by two contersinging males of the species (following BNA). Note that this recording documents a previously unknown population in a state where the species had not been known to breed in over 50 years. Quality unchanged (2-1 - quiet engine rumble) - CAM - 7 April 2005]
