NOTES: "Pair of kites were presumed nesting in oak tree on boulder-strewn ridge, adjacent to dry lake bed. Crows were mobbing the kites, as well as kites retaliating, chasing crows..."

[This exceptionally long cut contains mostly "Kewt" or "Keep" calls but also "Grrrkkk" calls (2:25-2:26, 15:01-15:03) a few clucking calls (2:51-2:54 - unclear whether kite or crow), and some soft twitters. The region between 9:35 and 9:56 has both good "Keep" calls and a few soft twitters, and the region between 17:56 and 18:17 has both "Keep" calls and some harsher "Grrrkkk" calls. Quality changed from 1-2 to 2, 1-2 (The first part has wind noise but the rest has calls of Corvus brachyrhynchos scattered throughout. In some cases, it is difficult to determine whether the grating calls were given by the kites or the crows) - CAM - 23 November 2004]
