NOTES: "bird was vocalizing from several locations in mesquite trees..." [This recording has three parts and one internal announcement. The first and third parts both represent exclusively Song, apparently with no mimicry. The second part is also mostly song, but apparently with some imitated elements (possibly of Callipepla gambelli in part [?]) and also some calls. The loud churr at 1:18 may be a "Harsh Churr" Call or part of a song, but I believe that the softer calls between 2:18 and 2:45 represent "Soft Churrs" interspersed with soft rattles that may represent bill snapping. Quality 1-2, 2, 1-2 (the first and third parts are both better than the second) - CAM - 15 December 2004]. Habitat: Desert.
