    Equipment Note

NOTES: I missed single long calls at 5:45, 5:46, 5:47, and two songs before tape began at 5:49:10; apparently two birds present; the long calls given were typical paired calls; One song, possibly distant calls from an unseen bird in canopy of large tree, 25-35 m away and 30 m up; recorded about 200 meters from house into good forest with relativley open understory and some Babasu palms; mostly clear but with some fog, calm, 72¡ F.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus connectens to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
