NOTES: 73 songs of BIRD #3 recorded at 6:13:20; bird began today with a long call at 5:41:57 am, and then a single song at 5:44:05 am; bird initially gave a single song and went quiet, it then began again at 5:45:45 am, after which, I got onto it for its fourth song; I then missed two more songs getting back onto it when it moved; it was very distant at first; recorder off at 5:49:25 am, back on again at 5:50:31 am, after missing four more songs and a long call; bird was moving around a bit; recorder off again at 5:51:34; at this point, unseen bird was 45 meters away and 25-30 meters up; long calls were given by a second bird; this cut contains some interesting songs, but the quality is not high; recorder off again at 6:07:21 am, back on at 6:10:18 am, after missing five songs and one long-call getting back onto bird, which was now 30 meters away and 25 meters up in tree off the end of the road into the logging plot; bird was 25-30 meters up and 30-45 meters away at end of cut; recorded at sustainable logging plot A3 on west side of Estrada do Gave¿, 2.1 km. N of Estrada do Caing¿ [19¡ 04' 32" S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]; full, dense overcast, clearing slightly by end of cut; calm; 77¡ F; (10/4/48/2//9 Ð single slash indicates movement, double indicates break in tape); first part not copied.
