    Equipment Note

NOTES: A single, decapitated song given by an unseen bird that was 30 meters away and seemingly 4-5 meters up in relatively open undergrowth in an area of low forest (possibly an overgrown clearing or forest on a patch of sandy soil) on south side of road; recorded along NW edge of reserve from perimetral road about 2 1/2 km. NE of road into the Sooretama Reserve; no apparent response to tape playback; partly cloudy, calm, 82¡ F.

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Vireo olivaceus chivi to Vireo olivaceus chivi/diversus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
