NOTES: 116 songs and four long calls of BIRD #4 recorded at 6:41:46; this cut began at 6:05:51 am, after I missed six songs changing tape; the bird began today with two or three long calls at 5:35 am; bird was 35-40 meters away and 25-30 meters up along NW edge of reserve along perimetral road, 200-300 meters NE of road into the Sooretama Reserve [19¡ 04Õ 22" S, 39¡ 57Õ 06" W]; tape off briefly at 6:18:51 but back on at 6:19:03 am, with bird singing intermittently; it moved again at 6:20:04 am, now closer to the road; break in tape at 6:20:41 am, beginning again at 6:21:31 am after missing three songs, with bird now about 50 meters away and slightly to the west; off again at 6:28:47 am, when bird flew back over my head to a spot 25-35 meters up and 35-45 meters away in a really large tree; off again at 6:37:30 am, but back on bird at 6:40:08 am, with bird now 35 meters up overhead at the end of the cut; partly cloudy, rain 3:30-4:30 am; 75¡ F; (5/41/1/4/29/27/9 Ðslashes not differentiated here).
