NOTES: 89 (1/88) songs of BIRD #2 recorded at 6:19 and 6:26:11; I missed six songs changing tape after previous cut (#99-110-07) ended at 5:57:10 am; this cut began at 5:59:11 am, but the bird moved immediately after I got onto him, and I then missed about another eight songs relocating it (back where he had been); the second part of the cut began at 6:01:49 am; one odd, long-call was given by this bird; the bird was 30-35 meters away and almost directly overhead; the first long-call, heard at 5:38:45 am today, may have been from this birdÕs mate, given that it was heard quite near the road; the first song was then at 5:40:31 am (noted on previous cut), after which, I missed ten songs getting onto the bird; the bird was singing rather intermittently by the end of this cut; recorded along road to house and Rio Barra Seca, about 250 meters short of Estrada do Gave¿ [19¡ 04Õ 21" S, 39¡, 53Õ 47" W]; partly cloudy, calm, 76¡ F.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatus to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
