NOTES: 80 songs of BIRD #3 in three parts at dawn (6:12:10, 6:17:30, and 6:22:13); I believe I missed five songs changing tape after the previous cut (#99-108-06) ended at 5:56 am; the first part of this cut ended at 5:59:30 am, when bird was 40 meters away and 25 meters up; I moved at 6:06:32 am to get a better position after the bird moved slightly; the bird was now 40-50 meters away and 30 meters up on the north side of road just north of Bloco A3; the angle was poor when I was under the bird, better when I was farther away (50 meters); the bird then moved slightly to an adjacent tree to the east, after which, it was 35 meters away and 30 meters up overhead at NE corner of marker A5; bird was 25-30 meters away and 25 meters up for the last part (beginning at 6:20:10 am), when the bird was in the tree off the end of the logging road; I missed six or seven songs getting onto the bird for this last part; recorded at the north end of the plot (Bloco A), located off west side of Estrada do Gave¿, 2.1 km N of Estrada do Caing¿ [19¡ 04' 32" S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]; this cut includes two very good long calls; dense clouds overhead but with blue sky off to the east, calm, 73¡ F (5/24/24/20/2//5/ Ð single slash indicates movement, double indicates break in tape).
