NOTES: Song and calls of same bird recorded in cut #99-105-07, recorded here in four parts at 18:33, 18:38, 18:46, and 18:50, now after playback of calls from the previous cut; in response to playback, the bird flew across the road and eventually sang; with additional playback, I eventually managed to get it to sing on its own; initially 6 meters away and 3-4 meters up, then 6-8 meters away and 6-7 meters up; this cut was recorded after quite a bit of tape playback; later about 10 meters away and 8 meters up in canopy of small trees along roadside; seen, but in relatively low light at dusk Ð apparently Xenops minutus (the bird appeared to be an unstreaked, dingy-brownish below with no streaks evident on a brownish back; it also seemed to have some black in the tail); recorded along Estrada do Gave¿, just south of unmarked logging road into sustainable forestry plot (Bloco A), ca. 2 km. N Estrada do Caing¿ [ca. 19¡ 04' 32" S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]; intermittent breeze, full overcast, 81-82¡ F; this cut contains more than one internal announcement.
