NOTES: 22 songs of BIRD #2 at dusk; this cut began at 5:43:47 pm, after I heard the first song at 5:34 pm; the bird was 30 m up and 30-35 meters away and almost directly overhead in a huge tree that looked like a fig; recorded in the same area, but in a different tree than that used at dawn; 250 meters short of Estrada do Gave¿ on road to house and Rio Barra Seca [19¡ 04Õ 21" S, 39¡, 53Õ 47" W]; partly cloudy, intermittent breeze, 85 ¡F; the sun was still relatively high up (hitting the forest floor) when this was recorded.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatus to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
