NOTES: 27 songs (20//7) and one long call of BIRD #1 at dawn; previous cut ended at 6:21:41 am, with this cut beginning at 6:23:49 am, after missing six songs changing tape; the unseen bird was 25-30 meters away and generally overhead; the bird moved at 6:30:58 am, when it crossed the road to a point 50-60 meters away from me; this cut is a continuation of recordings on reels #99-95 and #99-96; I first heard the bird at 5:40 am, got onto it at 5:43 am, and the first tape ended at 5:45 am; I then got back onto the bird at 5:48 am, with the second reel ending at 6:21 am; the unseen bird was moving back-and-forth along the road, typically 15-20 meters in from the edge; recorded 400-500 meters short of house along road from Estrada do Gave¿ to the Rio Barra Seca, in some of the tallest forest seen on the reserve (with a canopy of approximately 30 meters in height); announcement ended at 6:35:19 am; full, dense overcast; intermittent drizzle early on, but rain began soon after this cut was recorded; calm; 78¡ F; this cut contains at least one internal announcement.
