NOTES: Songs and chatter calls recorded in three parts at 5:37, 5:45, and 6:00; bird was seen and recorded amid a mixed-species flock in which this species was heard almost daily at dawn; initially natural song, then songs and calls after playback, in response to which, the bird approached and chattered more; initially 15 meters away and 3-5 meters up; in the second part of the cut, the bird was the same distance from me, but 5 meters up; bird had brick-red lores and dark eyes (described briefly on tape); apparently two birds present (presumably a pair); recorded along entrance road, 250-300 meters in from the base; bird was 4-5 meters up when seen; hazy, thin clouds, calm, 78¡ F.
