NOTES: 77 songs of bird #4; the bird began today with a long call at 5:05:01, after which the tape began at 5:05:38 after I missed one song getting onto the bird; the only long call contained herein was given by a second bird off in the distance; recorded to the northeast off the end of my trail on the north side of the entrance road about 600 m in from the highway (03¡ 21Õ 03" S, 54¡ 56Õ 00" W); at times, the unseen bird was high up in dense tangles 30-35 m away, but at others it was 50+ m away; partly cloudy, calm, 78-79¡ F; sun not yet up even at the end of this cut; the bird never sang again following the end of this cut, even after playback of the Hylexetastes portion of this cut (which had this bird in the background).

ML: Background subject changed from Hylopezus macularius to H. whittakeri to reflect current taxonomy. -Jay McGowan 29Nov2014.
