NOTES: 74 songs and three long calls of bird #1 recorded in two parts at 5:26:10 and 5:35; bird began with a long call at 5:17:40 and a song at 5:17:59 am, with tape on at 5:18 after I missed two songs; unseen bird was 50-75 m back in from road; recorded along logging road ca. 500 m in from intersection with highway; bird moved about 50 m back from highway, but not any closer to road, at 5:26:10, with recorder back on at 5:27:20 after missing about five songs; time announcement at 5:34:47, after it moved again; clear, calm, 72¡ F.
