NOTES: two parts, one recorded at 17:55 and the other at 18:01; unknown, unseen bird [??] recorded along road about 75-150 m short of base; dusk and beginning to get quite dark; bird was apparently 20 m away and 10+ m up in mid-levels of good terra firme forest; recorded after some whistling, to which bird (or other animal?) seemed to approach giving same vocalization; later 10 m up and 10-15 m away but still unseen and apparently moving back and forth; apparently stayed up quite high after playback, now 30-40 m away; 2/3 moon was relatively high up in sky at 6:45 pm; still relatively light when began calling; call varied little throughout period of "observation"; filters off.
