NOTES: Similar "campo rupestre" habitat in same general area previous cut was recorded; just before the summit beyond the park entrance station; elevation ca. 1380 meters; bird was low in bushes along road about 20 meters away; no response to playback, but bird eventually returned and was seen moderately well (easily identified to genus) perched on dead branch about 1 meter up on small rise; mild breeze, 70¡ F, fog at ground level. One or two songs overloaded by Martha Fischer.
