    Equipment Note

Pair (with both individuals singing) was moving about in dense, scrubby growth (much of it vine tangles) about eight meters away and five meters up along road through scrubby forest.

The bird that was well seen and the one that reacted most strongly to playback was the female (male was seen only briefly). Even with playback, these birds were generally more difficult to see than I would have expected. Birds moved back-and-forth (including across road) in response to playback, generally singing, but also calling. The sun was up by this time, but conditions otherwise same.
