NOTES: Song and calls of male. Initially 15 and later six meters away, one to two-and-a-half meters up in thick tangles of generally relatively open undergrowth of scrubby forest fragment within FLONA; bird was recorded at top of hill that descends to stream and small bridge; bird was seen relatively well using playback, in response to which it flew back-and-forth across road, at times perching in the open; bird was in almost constant motion; song in response to playback was slightly harsher and with a few additional notes added; female was seen only briefly and seemingly not recorded; few clouds, calm, 74 ¡ F.
