NOTES: These appear to represent aggression calls (among males?). Birds (apparently two) were 40 meters away and about 2/3 up trees on slope in primary terra firme forest in area with dense undergrowth and a somewhat broken canopy; birds were associated with a mixed-species flock that was repeatedly seen near our campsite; one male was seen briefly and appeared to be this species rather than M. haematonota; overcast, calm, low 70s.
