    Equipment Note

NOTES: Several parts recorded at 10:40, 10:42; 2-3, 10:48, and 10:58; third part not copied). Bird was in Cecropia and other trees in middle part of island; dense undergrowth below bird; first part natural, then after playback for the next three; bird was initially 20-30 meters, later 35 meters away and 15 meters up in Cecropia; a male that was well seen using playback; last part (after third announcement) was recorded with bird only 18-20 meters away and 12-15 meters up in relatively exposed perches in Cecropia at edge of clearing; upper 80s, otherwise conditions same; contains three internal announcements.
