NOTES: HHb filters in cut position; attenuators off on both recorder and microphone; cut contains a single, "rattle" call; Trail S at intersection with Trail 2S (100 meters) on slope above dry ravine; bird appeared to be relatively low and about 30 meters away; in weak response to playback was a silent approach by this species; although the bird was seen relatively well and was definitely this species, it was not calling, and thus I cannot be certain that it was the same bird recorded here; bird came in to trunks about 2 1/2 meters up but then flew off. Bird seen had dark eye and very limited white chin; weather same, but breezy
