NOTES: HHb filters in cut position; attenuators off on both recorder and microphone; recorded in igapo along Rio Curua; bird was 12 meters (2/3) up trees along blackwater stream from which flooded igapo extended in either direction an unknown distance; dense growth at all levels along stream; this was recorded following playback of a prerecorded tape (and possibly also itself) by Mario Cohn-Haft; identified in field by Mario Cohn-Haft, seen only well enough to identify to genus; in response to playback bird usually went silent and flew back-and-forth overhead at near canopy level affording only brief glimpses.
