NOTES: Response to playback was approach and a little bit more song (though bird seemed to return to normal after a short time); bird was 6-10 meters away and seemingly less than 1 to 2 1/2 meters up; it was also moving about quite a bit and seen briefly while this recording was made (seen well later using additional playback); the bird was clearly paler and more yellowish below and darker and more olive above than was a bird I saw photographs of from Acre (but just like other birds I remember from this site); in response to additional playback, the bird came in 2-3 meters up, often using horizontal and relatively exposed perches; the bird also often went quiet immediately after playback, but later began singing again; though the bird crossed the road a few times, it generally stayed hidden in relatively dense growth; it almost sounds like there may be some soft, begging calls in this cut; I have no idea if these were given by the target bird or not; conditions same as above, but now 76¡ F. A couple of songs apparently overloaded slighlty.
