NOTES: I recorded this bird about 1 1/2 km. up from trailhead in area with some bamboo; this was recorded after I whistled an imitation of the song (the bird sang only once before this), in response to which the bird came in up over my head and began calling; seemingly two different birds in the area, only one of which was seen relatively well; the bird was 30-35 meters away and 30 meters up in the tops of tall trees over my head; the bird then dropped to eye level in trees down bank (ca. 10 meters up in mid-levels); the bird was moving about quite a bit; fog, dense clouds.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Sittasomus griseicapillus sylviellus to Sittasomus griseicapillus sylviellus/olivaceus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
