NOTES: "Unseen bird calling from small grove of pines and oaks just above third stream crossing (ca. 1.9mi. above national forest boundary). Bird seen only in flight. Recorded with HHb PDR-1000, Sennheiser MKH-20 microphone inside a 30" Roche fiberglass parabole, HHb filters in cut position and attenuators off unless noted otherwise HPF@180" -SBA 01/11/2002 [Sixty-one examples of the "peek" call-note of BNA. Quality changed from 1 to 1-2 - CAM - 22 April 2005; Bird not seen clearly and identification listed as 95% certain, but these calls sound identical to those of LNS #112628, which was recorded in the same place 2 1/2 hours later and representing a pair that was well seen and clearly this species. It is likely that this bird was one of the same individuals highlighted in the later recording - CAM - 4 October 2011]
