NOTES: primary sub-montane rainforest; recorded in forest understory about 20m outside a wide, densely vegetated stream bed.; This spot-throat gives the clear loud whistles. Originally (first cut) it was responding to a playback of an orange ground thrush. In the subsequent cuts it is responding to a playback of its own song. The bird appraoched and was seen upon playback of own song.; Olive thrush (Turdus olivaceus) gives grasshopper-like calls in foreground of second cut. Shelley's greenbul also calls in the foreground of this cut.
