Mating lek of Raggiana Bird of Paradise, recorded 0630hr - 0745hr, overcast weather. males were displaying (dancing and calling) at about height of 10 meters in second-growth canopy. At maximum activity, this lek contained about 6 plumed males and about 8 female-plumaged birds (note: immature males' plumage is similar to that of females so it is not always possible to tell them apart). Audible wing-fluttering is part of the dancing.
