NOTES: SONG OF FEMALE OR IMMATURE MALE (NOT IN FULL BREEDING PLUMAGE). CALL. SONG-DIFFERENT PATTERN. RIDGE ABOVE BEAR WALLOW.Other recordist(s): GEORGE W.; [Twenty-seven "songs" of at least three different song types, though this is difficult to quantify given that variation is marked even with these types. There are Contopus-like "pip" calls (2:005, 2:03, 2:055, 2:115, 2:13, 2:20 (not typical), 2:26, 3:025, 3:06, 3:095, and 3:16), soft bluebird-like whistles (2:355), a descending "wheer" (0:09), and thin "sip" notes (2:435, 2:455, 2:47, 2:49, and 2:50). At 2:125-2:165 is an interesting series that probably represents contact calls. There may be a "cryptic" stop start at 3:29. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2, 2-3 (the signal is much weaker for the calls than the songs) - CAM - 1 June 2005]
