NOTES: song at dawn chorus in open area in deciduous forest, bird in Black Walnut.
[This is essentially the song of the species, alternating between both types of Regularly Repeated Vocalizations (RRVs; see Smith, W. J. 1969. Displays of Sayornis phoebe (Aves, Tyrannidae). Behaviour 33:283-322). The 42 vocalizations (not including those during announcement) alternate between the two song-types, beginning with an RRV2 and ending with an RRV1. There appear to be nine more songs during the announcement, but it is more difficult to determine which song-types are involved. Quality changed from "V.good" to 2 - CAM - 13 April 2005]
