NOTES: The frog whose identity is unknown calls in the foreground, but at a low level. The voice is reminiscent of plucking the string of a loosely strung banjo. It delivered a series of banjo-like notes just once, though I continued to record for some time (later taping over the unproductive portion of tape). Like Hyla boans, the indentified frog seemed to calling from about 5 meters up in vail of small trees located at the edge of a swampy area. This swampy habitat extended from the road eastward through forest surrounding Muri Scrub Camp.
