NOTES: Calls from individuals of a flock of Pied Lapwing on the mowed lawn of the Iwokrama Field Station. Recorded at 0310 hrs, it was pitch black and therefore difficult to estimate the total number of lapwings, but there were certainly 5 or more individuals. The very loud raucous calls were typically given when the birds flew from one location to another, in some cases occasioned by my presence.
