Observation details
Floating down river nearby Franklin's Gull. Slightly smaller than Franklin's, which was only really evident when together. All grey hood and bill with bright yellow clean bill tip. In flig ht, classic black/white/gray triangles in wings working from primaries in. Seen both floating and in flight as it drifted down river, much in Franklin County then would fly up stream, including clearly in Walla Walla county before again landing in the water well upstream. Poor in flight photos to follow.
