Observation details
First-cycle. Found by BLS. Photos. Identified as taimyrensis based on being in full juvenile plumage, as well as large size, big pale-based bill, tail/rump pattern. Same individual found nearly two months later, further confirming subspecies designation as taimyrensis: https://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S35396751. Note notch out of the tip of R3 on the right side of the tail on both birds, helping confirm it as the same individual. If split from Lesser Black-backed Gull, this 'Heuglin's Gull' would require review by the CBRC, so recording here to subspecies to make finding the record later easier.
