Observation details

Solitary scaup seen out in the middle of the lake. Flat head (as if "someone smashed the top down with a pan"), large bill (especially when seen head-on), and sloped forehead point to GRSC over LESC. LESC would have a thinner bill, a more vertical sloped forehead, and a pointed head at the back.
