Observation details
Landed right in front of us, distance about 50 feet, in perfect light. Larger than Peep, smaller than Pectoral. Scaly grayish back, although this bird had some rufous edges on the back feathers, making it look even more stunning than typical. Yellow legs, all buff-tan head, breast, and belly. ~MC
