Observation details
Continuing lingering birds in the trees between Little and the fraternities to the south. Keeping company with four Cedar Waxwings. The birds mostly were just resting in the trees, but they also were feeding a little, both in the fruit trees and on fallen fruit under the trees. Today I confirmed that one of the birds has a deformed bill. The lower mandible is bent downward and to the left, so that the bird's mouth is always a little open. Despite the injury, the bird was feeding normally. The other bird I saw today looked perfectly healthy. The photo here is of the uninjured bird.
